Review of Wanda Plaza
3

When we were strong-armed into moving here a few year's back (long story), our outlook on this place was grim. At the time Wanda Plaza was little more than a row of incomplete buildings and shoddy looking deserted storefronts. But this place had something going for it - namely (relatively) cheap office space for rent. Mind you, the eastern portion is technically intended for residential use, but as developers do in Beijing, any signs of habitation were quickly overwhelmed by an influx of small to mid-range companies setting up shop in the 10 towers that comprise the compound.

The sheer concentration of businesses (and restaurants, shops, salons etc.) and proximity to the Dawang Lu subway station make this place super convenient for work and thus a cornerstone of the CBD. That being said, the dubious construction quality (god forbid we're ever in an earthquake during work hours), slow-as-f*ck elevators and crappy electrical wiring are constant problems - but hey, you get what you pay for.
