We had lunch there this past weekend - business was good and we waited for about 10 min for a table. The menu is centered around their specialty Guo Qiao Mi Xian, which come in a large stone bowl with an assortment of "fixins" (Yunnan ham, various fungi, pickled things etc.).
Despite the large-ish bowl, we found the actual portion of noodles and broth somewhat lacking, and, as usual, laden with tons of MSG.
We supplemented our meal with an order of ham fried rice, a cold dish of spinach and vermicelli and some skewers of lamb, chicken wings and potato slices.
More MSG, more salt and more Meh. I spent the rest of the afternoon guzzling down water to soothe my salt-parched throat.
This place is essentially fast food in a sit-down-and-order setting - the Beijing equivalent of those "Panda Express" places you find in fast food courts in North American malls.
