With the kangs, the colorful wait staff, the dongbei accents, and the numbers of red faced diners downing baijiu and Hapi, you'd be forgiven for thinking you suddenly traveled to Harbin. The food here is hearty and stays true to real dongbei flavors with favorites like the suancai xuechang dun bairou (stewed pork, sauerkraut, and blood sausage) and stew of green beans, potatoes, and pork ribs. Many of the dishes do are heavier, but there are still plenty of good summer options on the menu. Plus, prices here are low and portions are big, making this a favorite among expats as well as locals.
