Review of Pho Lemon
3

Pho Lemon's set lunches range from RMB 48-78 (you can add things like an iced coffee or dessert for a few kuai extra), which seems like a good deal until you see the portions.

To be fair, the food I tried (I had a cold beef vermicelli, pork and shrimp rolls and an iced coffee for RMB 86) was decent - I especially liked their fish sauce - and the shrimp was reasonably fresh (though I've had better in Beijing). The vermicelli itself was also passable, but again, nothing spectacular.

The service, likewise, was nothing to write about, but competent (save for the chopsticks, which they forgot to give me until I was pretty much finished with the appetizer - at least the water came on time). The waitress that took my order had the eyes-glazed-over demeanor of someone who had seemingly worked one-too many late-night shifts.

I found the portions, however, to be lacking (especially considering the price tag) - I finished my meal with that all-too-familiar "not quite full" feeling that is unfortunately quite typical of CBD set lunch deals.

All in all, however, I will consider a return visit based on the food and attractively low-key and environment.
