Good for lunch, but a bit overpriced

I hit up the branch in the basement of Maison Mode from time to time - the curry is pretty straightforwardly Japanese-style, and the menu offers an assortment of toppings (tonkatsu, fried squid, croquettes, veggie etc.).

The interior decor and furnishings are proficiently nice and clean, but the prices (a curry and appetizer/salad will set you back about RMB 50-60) seem a bit steep for what is essentially fast food.

On the other hand, it's good to see businesses like CocoCurry House (and the other basement level restaurants like Golden Spoon in the vicinity) prop up Maison Mode after all those luxury stores abandoned ship. If only more Beijing developers would get a clue and realize that people need more basic amenities like restaurants and banks, rather than empty malls filled with luxury brands.
