This place has obviously taken inspiration from Bellagio in its positioning and decor. The Jin Di branch features dim lighting, a smooth jazz/trip hop soundtrack (save for the pan-flute rendition of "My Heart Will Go On"), ornamental birdcages and waitstaff sporting feathers in their caps (literally).
Decorative gimmicks aside, the food is tasty - I tried the requisite san bei ji (three cups chicken) and a tofu and shrimp casserole (xia ren doufu bao), which both went well with the rice. The waitresses were kind of enough to recommend that I don't over-order (even when I was eye-ing the shaved ice dessert menu), but I just had to splurge and go for a cup of peanut shaved ice - also delicious.
The ample lunch time crowd was primarily CBD execs (with noticeable Taiwanese accents - a good sign). Prices are moderate - not cheap, but nothing ridiculous. Two people could eat their fill for around RMB 150-175.
