This place caught my eye because of their Australian-style coffee terminology (do you prefer a "flat white" or a "long black"?) which you rarely see in Beijing. Turns out it's an Australian chain (though I don't recall ever visiting a branch back home). Not sure why an Australian coffee shop chain is called "Jamaica Blue" but there you go.
Australians can thank our huge Italian community for saving us from the dregs of British tea culture and bringing the wonders of quality coffee down under. Jamaica Blue maintains the generally high standards of Australian brews with a very well made range of coffees. The prices, as is always the case with drinkable coffee in Beijing, are inflated, but it's worth it if you value a really well made cuppa.
The cakes are pretty good too, but I haven't tried the sandwiches.
The staff were attentive, and the ambiance peaceful.
