A very pleasant surprise!

I'm often disappointed by "Western" food in Beijing, but Scott's was a very pleasant surprise.

The restaurant is pretty tricky to find, however. Although it's right in the middle of the embassy district and not too far from Sanlitun, it's tucked up a very obscure alley. It's worth the effort though.

We had salad and pasta dishes, all of which were very tasty. The food is very reasonably priced, and local beers are only RMB 15 (overseas brews are slightly more).

The service was excellent without being overbearing, the staff very friendly and polite. I also liked the relaxed ambiance of the place.

Best of all they gave us a free dessert.

Highly recommended if you're after solid Italian at a very decent price.
