The food is a little too posh for my liking but, as Live music venues go, Ginkgo is one of Beijing's most interesting. While the bar is large it still has a nice intimate feel that means you really feel part of the performance. I have seen quite a range of different bands play there from a wide gamut of influences and enjoy the frequent impromptu 'jam' sessions that take over after the set. While the diversity of styles and nationalities represented are impressive, I would also like to see a few more local bands take to the stage.
Other than that it is completely worth the entrance fee ( zero) haha!
