Plastered T-shirts Turns 5: Win a Free T-shirt!
On May 5, 2006, Englishman Dominic Johnson-Hill and his wife opened the first “creative shop” in Nanluogu Xiang, back then still a quiet hutong. They sold two T-shirts their first day. Five years later, the brand – which specializes in capturing the diversity of daily Chinese life through iconic images – has catapulted into the limelight.
In its first year of business, Plastered T-shirts hosted China’s first-ever hutong catwalk show, earning kudos from major international publications such as Vogue and Elle; in November 2008, Mr. Johnson-Hill was named British Entrepreneur of the Year in China; and last July, Plastered opened its first branch in Shanghai.
Beijing’s beloved homegrown brand just celebrated its fifth anniversary last Saturday, May 28 with a private party at Great Leap Brewing (click here to see photos from our gallery). Now, to thank Beijinger readers for their support, Plastered T-shirts is giving away three free T-shirts from their latest line.
To win, take a look at the photo below and correctly answer the following question: Which famous landmark are Dominic and the Plastered models standing in front of at the Beijing International Park?
Send your guesses to tiffanywang@truerun.com. Good luck!
