Last Chance to Chi Fan: Just 14 Spots Left to Dine for Charity

Chi Fan for Charity turns the stuffy charity dinner on its head. Instead of ballgowns and big hotel banquet halls, you get a chance to dine at one of Beijing's top restaurants alongside fun, engaged members of the Beijing community. The event takes place this Saturday (Nov 10) and this year, with 41 restaurants participating, it's shaping up to be a record-breaking year in terms of the final amount donated to the charities – the Starfish Project and Little Flower Projects. There are just 14 spots left at a handful of restaurants, so if you'd still like to take part, read on to see how you can still get involved.

Here are the restaurants (and their corresponding hosts) where it's still possible to book a ticket:

Capital M (2 seats)
Hosts: Liz and Paul Haenle
Three courses and two glasses of wine at one of Beijing's landmark restaurants, with a husband-wife power couple who've rubbed elbows with the US President. You'll have plenty to talk about this week's presidential elections ...
Price: RMB 1000

Kagen (2 seats)
Host: Philippa Nelson
Get up close and personal with one of the night's charities. Philippa Nelson's been involved with the Starfish Project since its early days and can tell you all about the organization's work.
Price: RMB 700

Punjabi (2 seats)
Host: Gireesh Chowdhury
Read our interview with Punjabi chef and owner Chowdhury here [http://www.thebeijinger.com/blog/2012/11/03/chow-down-chowdhury-punjabi-cffc-host-gireesh]. He'll be cooking up a secret menu of Indian favorites.
Price: RMB 700

SWITCH! Cafe (6 seats)
Hosts: Sallie Baxter and Chandler Jurinka
Free-flowing beer, stick-to-your-ribs American food and these two characters [http://www.chifanforcharity.org/beijing/event-registration/?ee=51]. How can this be an act of charity?
Price: RMB 500

The Cut (2 seats)
Host: Alan Wong
This is a lucky break. Alan's table has been booked for weeks now, but now two of the spots have opened up again. Their loss is your gain if you've ever wanted a chance to get in good with the restaurateur extraordinaire.
Price: RMB 800

You can click through on all those links to book online and find out about the different payment options, but now, you can also show up at Caffe O'Henry's to purchase tickets for both dinner and the Hatsune after-party. (If you want to skip dinner and head straight to the party, there are still 48 spots left and it's RMB 250 if you pre-pay, RMB 300 at the door.)

The after-party starts at 10pm and includes a silent auction with tons of great prizes – again with all proceeds going to the charities. You can read more about the party and the silent auction items here.

Lots of tasty and fun ways to give to two great charities this year. Good luck claiming those seats.
