Bakery Blast in Dongcheng District Kills 2, Injures 19

The bad news keeps pouring in - China Daily reports that a blast occurred earlier today in a bakery in Dongcheng District, resulting in two deaths and multiple injuries:

The explosion occurred at 7:33am in a Golden Phoenix Bakery store on Guangming Road, Dongcheng District. The fire has been put out and two gas tanks containing 50 kg of liquefied gas have been removed from the scene. A witness who heard loud sound of the explosion said, "Broken glasses were flying and some near the site were injured."

There's no word on what, exactly, caused the explosion, but the gas tanks may hold a clue. We will keep you posted with any updates.
