Where to Get Nucleic Acid Tests to Travel Abroad

A number of countries, including the US, Japan, Italy, and India, have recently announced mandatory PCR test results for airplane passengers bound from China in light an uptick in Covid cases following an easing of restrictions in the country.

We've compiled a short list of places where you can get a PCR test carried out prior to your departure. The venues also provide a bilingual Covid test certificate that you can take with you when traveling.

Besides taking your passport with you to any of the following testing locations, it's important to note that depending on the country you plan to travel to, Covid test requirements will vary. For instance, Japan only allows PCR test results following a nose swab.

While the following locations will administer tests based on your destination, it's best to call ahead to the embassy or consulate of the country you intend to visit and check on requirements.
