Annie's opens new branch in Wudaokou

After years of focusing on Chaoyang District, Annie's has finally opened a branch in Wudaokou. The new restaurant is just northwest of Wudaokou subway station, bordering Tsinghua University. Expect everything you know and love from Annie's, plus during the first month, some special deals to celebrate the new opening. From June 26-July 28, all dine-in customers will receive a complimentary bruschetta appetizer, and there will be happy hour deals all day, every day: on all drinks, get the second bottle or glass for half price.

Find Annie's Wudaokou on the 3rd floor of Huayuan Century Commercial Building, 88 Shuangqing Lu, Haidian District (海淀区双清路华源世纪商务楼3层).

Taco month at Las Musas

Las Musas has teamed up with some of the most creative kitchens in Beijing to bring you fresh takes on the unstoppable global trend that is the taco. For each week in July, starting July 1, they'll be featuring dishes from their talented collaborators. Here's the line-up:

Week 1: Zhazha Bistro, known for its colorful offerings of Guizhou cuisine served tapas style
Week 2: The Pizza Show, who dish out thin crust pizzas that include everyone's favorite mortadella and pistachio
Week 3: Susu, purveyors of authentic Vietnamese broths, bites, and banh mi sandwiches
Week 4: The Roots, best known for serving Mediterranean family cuisines and their signature piri piri chicken.

For the first collab with Zhazha Bistro, Chef Huang and Chef Yang (left and right, respectively, in the photo above) have come up with two dishes: Guizhou Chicken Bao Tacos, featuring Las Musas' roast chicken sauteed in Zhazha's signature chili sauce, stuffed in a steamed bao and topped with guizhou pickles, and Zhazha Meatballs and Chili Fried Rice, featuring Las Musas' red Mexican rice cooked in Zhazha's Guizhou sauce topped with Zhazha's spicy pork meatballs and finished with chile verde and mango sauce.

Susu summer specials

Susu have added a couple of new light, fresh dishes to their menu. We've got our eye on the Hanoi-to-the-hutong snack platter — featuring Vietnamese-style pate, roast pork, crispy tofu, and more, served with fresh leaves and herbs for wrapping — which we feel would be perfect enjoyed in the courtyard at their Qianliang Hutong location.

Summer menu at Moka Bros

The new summer menu at Moka Bros features some of their most popular pop-up dishes from over the past few months, including the Zrou plant-based meatball sub (RMB 69) from their collab with blogger Wayne from 造洋饭书. Zrou is also now available as an add-on to any of their power bowls, salads, and wraps. Speaking of power bowls, also making its ways back to the menu is the Russian beef stroganoff (RMB 75), featuring beef tenderloin with white mushrooms, beetroot, pickles, and onions in a dill-cream sauce.
