Keep Your Body Fit and Your Wallet Fat With Decathlon's Laiguangying Closing Sale

Last week, subscribers to the popular French sports clothing and accessories retailer Decathlon received a text message indicating that their Laiguanying branch will close down on Sunday, Jun 21.

Having long been the go-to place for folks who exercise, want to exercise, or enjoy looking like they exercise, Decathlon has remained a constant favorite for anyone wanting to browse a huge range of cheap and decent quality sporting goods all under one roof.

In parallel with the closure, Decathlon is also offering big discounts when you buy their apparel on Taobao. Meanwhile, for the upcoming 6.18 shopping holiday, prices on many fitness equipment items and clothing has been slashed by up to 50 percent. On top of that, they're offering an end of season inventory clearing discount of up to 80 percent.

While it's unclear whether the Laiguangying branch closure is related to the coronavirus pandemic, as of next week, sports enthusiasts looking to re-up on no-thrills gear will need to head to Decathlon's Shuangjing-adjacent store instead.
