The Future is Here: China's First Interactive Holographic Creative Talks Come to Shuangjing, Aug 19 and Sept 2

Fans of Michael Jackson, science fiction-worthy technology, and TED Talk-esque engagements shouldn't miss the August 19 Hologram event at the North Pingod Community building in Shuangjing.

That's because the innovative event will beam in breathtaking renderings of experts working in an exciting new field and other thrilling creative endeavors. Among the speakers that will be brought to life by the technology are Rick Garson, creator and executive producer of the Billboard Music Awards and CEO of VX Entertainment. His teammates at VX worked on the Michael Jackson hologram that appeared onstage at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards. VX is also providing the equipment and at the venue for this and future events.

Coordinators say that Saturday's interactive talks will involve guest speakers conducting their presentations from within a special booth, which will then be streamed and enhanced live onto the stage through VX Entertainment's technology. The speakers will be in a neighboring room that houses a green screen, though the technology allows for subjects to be beamed in from remote locations as well.

Other speakers include fashion mastermind Yu Xizi and advertising guru Polly Chu. A similar seminar will be held on September 2, and will feature renowned photojournalist Hwee Young, star supermodel Sun Yichao and opera soprano Lu Xiao.

Hologram will be held at VX Entertainment Studio (Rm 55, Bldg 6, North Pingod Community, 32 Baiziwan Road). Tickets are RMB 160. The event is being coordinated by Creative Friends, a popular WeChat group and community that aims to unite creative types. For more information, click here.
