Have you already started planning for coming holidays? If yes, don’t forget to bring along a travel insurance policy.
When looking into a travel insurance product, have a think about these things:

If you plan to visit family back in your home country, do check to see if the product covers your homeland.
If you are going to climb Everest, check the clause about high risk sports to see if it falls into this category.
Does your destination include Ukraine, Nepal, Russia, Syria, Iran, etc? Let us know if it’s a yes.
Schengen visa requires a minimum medical cover of EUR 30,000 (approximately RMB 250,000. You don’t want to overlook this.
Not every visa application will be approved. Better to find a product that could be refunded or compensation provided in the case of your application being declined.
If you are already out of China when applying for insurance, no product on the Chinese market will cover you.
Connecting flight(s) within China are not covered.
Pre-existing conditions are usually not covered.
Remember, your travel insurance plan should cover a period no shorter than from the day you fly out of China to the day you land back in China (Beijing time based). Don’t forget to take time differences into account.
The latest day to purchase travel insurance is the day before you fly out of China. The reason is the policy takes effect the next day as earliest and it must cover the complete “fly out fly in” trip.
If you need to make any changes, please do them before the commencement date of your policy.
