07:30 — Depart from Liangmaqiao pickup and drive to Lido Metropark Hotel Starbucks
08:00 — Driving to the start point
10:30 — Arrive at the cycling club and get set up with your bike
10:45 — Safety briefing and ride introduction from the cycling guide
11:00 — Ride your bike to the river, and then on to the farmhouse for lunch
12:00 — Lunch at the countryside restaurant
13:00 — Ride your bike to the Sea of Flowers
13:30 — Ride through the Sea of Flowers, stopping for photos
13:45 — Ride on through woods and cornfields to the stream
15:30 — Take a break by the stream, and then ride on to the end
16:30 — Finish back at the cycling club, return the bikes
16:45 — Warm down and stretching before boarding the bus
19:30 — Back at the Lido Hotel, then on to Liangmaqiao (est.)

Hike down to the White River and head downstream on trails, gravel tracks, and dirt roads by the riverside, passing below tall cliffs.

You'll see the running river, leafy green trees by the riverside, impressive tall and steep cliffs made from massive slabs of rock and boulders, and hopefully the local family of herons that nest high up in the cliffs.

It’s possible to hike all the way down without crossing, but it’s also fun to get your feet wet on a few of the crossings—up to you!

Walk from Gubeikou to Jinshanling, following stretches of restored and unrestored Great Wall and taking a detour through the pretty farmland that surrounds Hemp Village, finishing all the way over at the eastern end of Jinshanling.

"For our Sunday hikes, we have carefully selected special and classic Great Wall routes based on different seasons. We will organize small groups with limited seats. So your hiking experience becomes more unique and we can go to places that are normally not accessible for bigger groups. The event will repeat 2-3 times. Jiankou loop line is a classic hiking route and there are two different directions. We will go to the west section. You don't need to climb too difficult section, but you still will be rewarded with fantastic scenery. We start climbing slowly mountain dirt trail till the wall. Then there is 20 meters going down the hill. That is the only short section that you need to help by hands. After that, going throught a small forest to go up the wall again. Then the rest of the route is quite easy. Meanwhile you could enjoy beautiful view.

After the hike, Jiuwan accommodation will offer us some drinks. We will have a short break there and then go back Beijing.

【The route type】Mountain route + Wall restored road

【The route description】At the beginning, we are walking in the forest. That section is dirt route and climbing up slowly in the forest till reached the wall. Then walking a short distance, we will go down a bit to reach the restore section. Here is a deep slope about 20 meters but short distance. The rest of route we are walking on the wall till going down the village. (Reference level 1+)

l Total descent: 406m

l Peak: 942m

l Lowest point: 610m

Lupiguan Great Wall is located on the North of Miyun district. This Great wall is one of the important passes of the Ming Dynasty. It connects Hebei provide from the North, and leads to Huairou in the northeast. It is said that the Lupi guan Great Wall was built in the Qi Dynasty and rebuilt during the Ming Dynasty. The first thing come into your eyes is the green water of the White River and the mountains on both sides. The rhythm of the water and the rise and fall of the mountains form a beautiful dynamic painting scroll. It's immersing you in it without even knowing it. Every moment is like a painting. (The last section is going up and going down the same route. You can choose to stay waiting and not seeing the view in below.)

【The route type】All is mountain route and the wall trail

【The route description】At the beginning, we climb up slowly to reach the Great Wall. Then we walk alone with the wall. The entire route is dirt but it is easy to walk. At the last section is going up again to view the entire White River. The slope is steep, and it is go and back route. You can choose to stay there to enjoy the landscape of Miyun reservoir, if you don't want to climb up. Then we are going down to the village. The rest of road is quite flat. You will enjoy the green around you in the jountry. (Reference level 1+)

l Distance: 7km

l Time to complete: 5hours

l Total ascent: 410m

l Total descent: 462m

l Peak: 547m

l Lowest point: 153m

Notice:

1. Take at least 4 bottles of water.

(Remember to drink and eat constantly on the trail, if you have to drink because you are thirsty you are not drinking often enough, if you need to eat because you feel weak you haven't been eating enough.)

Lingshan Island is located in the Yellow Sea, 20 nautical miles off Huangdao District, Qingdao City, Shandong Province. It is surrounded by the sea on all sides, with its southern end higher than the northern end, making it the third highest island in China. The island has twelve villages with a population of over 3,000 people, mainly engaged in fishing, aquaculture, and angling. With its primitive way of life and natural island landscape, Lingshan Island offers a unique experience of the fishing culture.

Huangdao has a long coastline and new urban landscape, which is a photographer's paradise. The length is 42 kilometers and consists of two sections. One is from west points of Jinshatan beach, Fenghuangshan, Ganshuiwan; Another is from east points of Yinshatan beach, Liansandao. This route offers a chance to view the sunrise and sunset, and also we will experience kayak or sailing on the sea.

Qingdao history includes a 17-year long period of being colonized by Germany. During that time, German followed the pattern of western cities to built lots of buildings and roads, also improved infrastructure in Qingdao. Today, there are still as many as 360 European-style buildings protected properly, including the famous German Chancellery, Jiangsu Road Christian Church, Badaguan Villa District, etc. Such a number of European architecture is unique in China; also Qingdao is known as the "International Architecture Museum".

Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival Day Qingdao station

We will pick you up at the Qingdao train station at 11:00am and then check in to the hotel. After having lunch, we are leaving towards Huangdao coastline and begin our hike. At the end of the hike, you can experience kayak for 30 minutes. (Optional; It depents time.)

Day 2: Lingshan Island

After having breakfast and packing up, we will depart at 7:20 from hotel. We are going to go Ling Shan Island by boat. After landing on the island and placing luggages, we hike along the north of Ling Shan Island to reach the small fishing village with the scenery along the way. You can enjoy the sea and the natural scenery of the small island. （Can swim in the sea)

Hike information:

Distance: 12km

Time to complete: 5 hours

Note: If the wind is at level 5 on land and level 7 on the sea, it is impossible to land on the island. The itinerary will be changed to visit Beijiushui in Laoshan.

Lunch: lunch to be prepared by yourself

Group dinner: Sea food and standard dishes

Day 3: Qingdao old town

After checking out at 9:00am, we leave towards Qingdao old town. Walking tour such as Badaguan, Flower Stone Tower, the former site of the German Consulate, Catholic Church, etc. After having lunch, we send you to the train station. You could choose any train after 13:30pm. For going back to Beijing, G210 is a good option leaving 14:19pm.

Hike at alpine meadows.

Laolongwo is located on the border of Fangshan and Mentoutgou District. The altitude is 1649. It’s a famous hiking route in Beijing. Also it’s an open area and alpine meadows. Now the color is getting green, with a bit yellow. You won’t miss it!

【The route type】All is mountain route

【The route description】There are two kinds of route. One section is crossing the forst, the other one is alpine meadows. Before reaching there, there is a deep slope. The hike requires some hiking experience and good inclines with some stress on further distance. It is better you have long pants and a long sleeves shirt. There are few hundred meters dense forest. (Reference level 2.5)

l Distance: 10km

l Time to complete: 6hours

l Total ascent: 696m

l Total descent: 870m

l Peak: 1514m

l Lowest point: 700m

Notice:

1. Take at least 3-4bottles of water.

This is not South Taihang. Houcheng Chibi is located on the border of Yanqing and Huailai of Hebei province. It’s famous for Danxia land form. Chibi is a large 600 meters height. The largest monolithic rock ranksfirst in Asia, and third in the world. It stretches 40 miles away. It is said that is as beauty as Ayers Rockin Australian. Highly recommended!
