Start calorie counting now because our fifth Beijing Pizza Festival is incoming! This year, we're rolling into new and exciting places, namely Zhongguancun’s sprawling Software Park in Haidian, as we prepare to take on the capital’s student and tech hub.

This year's event is themed after Roman Holiday, the iconic 1953 romantic comedy starring Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn, an homage to Italy's capital and the iconic dish that the country birthed – pizza. That means that you can expect what you’ve come to love about our annual cheese-fest – many of the city’s top vendors, drinks, bands, DJs, and live entertainment – all with an added sprinkle of mid-20th-century chic.

Last year’s event attracted over 10,000 of China’s most devoted and hungry pizza fans and we hope to outdo ourselves this year by holding the biggest festival in honor of the glorious combination of dough and cheese that Beijing has ever seen. The biggest burger festival to ever grace Beijing returns! Now in its sixth year, the event will once again take place in what has become our home turf: Galaxy Soho, on the weekend of Jun 16-17.

Last year's event attracted close to 20,000 hungry fans of all things burger (proven by half the vendors selling out on the first day) and this year we hope to outdo ourselves once again with our best festival in honor of the humble combination of meat and buns yet.

There are currently 40 burger vendors and 20 drinks vendors working away to bring you the best of their meaty and thirst-quenching products. There'll also be ice cream, juice, and other refreshments to keep you feasting to your heart's content.

2018's Beijing Burger Fest is all about rock 'n' roll, so expect high-energy performances and music and enough grub and drinks to keep you pogoing throughout the weekend. Those will include the finest line-up of Beijing's rock and blues bands, a selection of rock bands from the city's international schools, a rock 'n' roll karaoke contest (start practicing that growl now), and a kids area so that the young'uns don't miss out on all the devil-horned fun.

In keeping with that theme, our suggested dress code is "dress like your favorite the rockstar!" Avril Lavigne? Sure. Elvis Presley? Uh-huh! Kurt Cobain? Definitely. Michael Jackson? Oo-hoo! There are also pinup girls, rockabilly, metalheads – the options are literally endless.

Early bird tickets cost RMB 17 and come with a special limited edition burger-themed bandana, great for wiping away sweat, ketchup, and tears in unison as you feast on some of the best burgers you've ever laid your mouth around.

Following the success of our annual Hot Chili Pepper Eating Contest and the crowds that came to see competitors sweat it out in the name of ring-of-fire fun, this year we've decided to go one step further and offer the same experience to the Beijing masses with the inaugural Hot & Spicy Festival!

Come Apr 14-15, crowds will gather in Galaxy Soho as the summer slowly encroaches, with more than 40 vendors representing cuisines from approximately 20 countries onsite to sling their spiciest wares in the name of chili love. We've already snagged some of the biggest names in the Beijing F&B biz for the event and all are currently readying their hottest wares to put you through your paces.

The festival will also be host to this year's the Beijinger Hot Chili Pepper Eating Contest, the eighth incarnation of our long and illustrious heat-fueled event that has seen grown men and women sweat, cry, and heave all in the name of bragging rights and a few modest prizes to help ease the burn. There'll also be bands, DJs, and live entertainment throughout the weekend, which you can watch through teary eyes.

All the action will go down 11am-8pm on May 20-21 at Galaxy Soho.

Get your pizza the action this Saturday and Sunday in the largest gathering of pizzas in 5,000 years of Chinese history. This pizza-themed street festival takes place in Wangjing Soho and cranks the cheesy adulation to a whole ‘nother crust.
