Join the TEDxBeixinqiao Community Event on Sep 15!
If you're a fan of TED Talks, then you'll want to head over to Modernista on Mon, Sep 15, at 6pm for a TEDxBeixinqiao Community Event. Kicking off TEDxBeixinqiao's 2025 program, this event is part of the lead-up ahead of the main TEDxBeixinqiao show, which will take place on Dec 6.
This community event is for anyone who's ever dreamed of giving their own TED Talk or who simply loves to hear inspiring stories and engage in fresh ideas. The evening will be split into three parts, starting with highlights from past TEDxBeixinqiao talks, followed by live coaching from speaker experts, who will share valuable insights into public speaking and how to format a TED-style talk.
Then, for the final part of the evening, the spotlight will be turned over to the audience who will be invited to step onto the stage and deliver a two-minute talk and receive real-time feedback and encouragement from the coaches. Think of it as open mic meets TED Talk, which in their own words aims “to help develop future TED speakers from the local community – nurturing fresh voices, bold ideas, and the confidence to inspire others on stage.”
Guiding the night will be three experienced coaches:
- Wantine: TEDx coach & admin, experienced TEDx speaker and public speaking trainer
- Jialan 俞佳兰: Founder & CEO of Upsnail Public Speaking Academy, international event speaker
- Zahra Mirsadeghi: A 20-year-old Iranian polyglot fluent in eight languages, TEDx coach, and Tsinghua University student

The TEDxBeixinqiao Community Event will be taking place at Modernista on Mon, Sep 15, from 6pm until 9.30pm. Early bird tickets are RMB 100, standard tickets are RMB 120 and tickets at the door are RMB 150. Tickets can be purchased by scanning the QR code in the poster above. All tickets include a complimentary welcome drink (mulled wine, sangria, beer, tea or soft drink).
