Explore the Diverse Market Vendors at the Belt & Road Food Fest

Aside from entertainment, food, and even more food and drinks, there will also be a few market vendors at the Belt & Road Food Fest this Mid-Autumn holiday (Sep 15-17) selling their wares. From cute plushies to African artwork to ornate Kashmir scarves, there are some great goodies up for grabs, whether you’re looking for a gift for a friend or loved one or just want to treat yo' self!

Baltic Amber Cultural and Creative Center波罗的海琥珀文创馆

The Baltic Amber Cultural and Creative Gallery will be selling Baltic natural amber ornaments and natural amber jewelry during the festival. All of the products are designed and produced in Baltic countries, such as Poland, Latvia, and Estonia. They have everything from exquisite ornaments, accessories, and jewelry to more practical items like pens and amber essential oil soap.


Sozni

Sozni hails from the Kashmir region of Pakistan, and is named after the intricate needlework used in local pashmina embroidery. At the event, they will showcase Kashmir pashmina shawls, which are protected by GI (geographical indication) certification. The patterns on these shawls are largely inspired by the local flora of Kashmir. In addition to the shawls, they will also present Persian carpets and other culturally rich products that blend diverse influences from various regions.


Shine Gogga 虫虫蝶蝶

Showcasing Peruvian products at the festival is Shine Gogga. Peru's Amazon rainforest is not only a natural wonder but also a treasure trove of biodiversity, home to plants and animals that cannot be found anywhere else on Earth. It is filled with mysterious and beautiful creatures. Shine Gogga carefully selects butterflies from the Peruvian Amazon rainforest, preserving their beauty through the expert work of specimen preparation and exquisite framing, making their elegance a lasting adornment in people's lives. Shine Gogga will also be selling tui alpaca wool plush toys from Peru at the fest. Soft and comforting, they bring joy with every touch.


Apex African Gallery 安佩斯非洲艺术画廊

Apex African Art will showcase a variety of African artworks, including sculptures from Zimbabwe, crystal jewelry, mineral specimens from across the continent, and more. In addition, they will invite foreign festivalgoers to write Chinese calligraphy, creating an interesting interaction centered around cultural fusion.


The Goat From the Cloud 戈奇卡云云朵小羊

The Goat From the Cloud will be selling their pure goat milk powder imported from Russia at the fest. Their milk powder is sourced directly from the Caucasus region, known as Russia's premium dairy region. It is suitable for everyone over the age of 3, with clean ingredients consisting only of raw goat milk. It can be used to make cakes, desserts, various flavors of ice cream, milk tea, and more. Additionally, there will be Russian-made chocolates, chocolate wafer biscuits and Russian nesting doll fridge magnets available to buy.

The Belt & Road Food Fest will be taking place at Langyuan Station Riverside Cultural Plaza Sep 15-17 from 11am to 8.30pm each day. Early bird tickets are RMB 19.9 and can be purchased by scanning the QR code in the poster above.
