Beijing’s Most Spec-taco-lar Taco Tuesday Deals
Another week has come and gone, and now we find ourselves at Tuesday once again. While there are plenty of dining and drinking deals to be had on Tuesdays, a great many of us see it as one special day: Taco Tuesday.
Yes, it’s time once again to gorge on morsels of meat, sauces, and such layered on a lovely round tortilla – the perfect vehicle for a snack or quick meal enjoyed with a lager or marg in hand.
Beijing has deals a plenty on Taco Tuesday, and below we’ve compiled some of our favorites to recommend.
Las Musas
After a brief hiatus for renovation, Las Musas is back with a brand new look but the same fantastic burritos, chips, margaritas, and, of course, tacos. Speaking of tacos, their Taco Tuesday special still stands: RMB 150 for all-you-can-eat tacos (limited to 15 per person) all day long.
That means you can mix and match from their stellar lineup of Chicken Tinga, Al Pastor, vegan Jamaica and more. We’d personally just order 15 of their Al Pastor tacos and call it a day, but that’s just us.
What’s more, they’ve also got 25 percent off on Margarita Pitchers every Tuesday as well, so you can keep the tacos and margaritas flowing through the afternoon or evening.

QMEX Taqueria
Over at QMEX Taqueria, they’ve got some new deals to go with their recently launched new menu, namely all tacos are RMB 15 each (minimum order of two tacos) every Tuesday from 5pm until closing.
The tacos themselves were also part of this new menu upgrade, which sees them now offering tacos in sets of two, switching from flour to corn tortillas, updating recipes -- especially for their Al Pastor (RMB 48) and Beef Steak Tacos (RMB 52) -- as well as adding new options like the Chili Shrimp Tacos (RMB 50), fried shrimp covered with Ancho chili butter, served atop a radish salad and topped with queso fresco, cilantro and onion.
Other new additions worth snacking on with said tacos include the Corn Chicharron (RMB 38), lightly fried pieces of corn topped with onion, cilantro, and dusted with chipotle powder; and the Chicken Tinga Taquitos (RMB 48), fried corn tortilla rolls filled with pulled chicken cooked in a special sauce.

Goose Island
Goose Island doesn’t just do burgers, beer, and bar food, they’ve got tacos on the menu as well, and they’ve got a buy one get one free deal from 4pm until 10pm every Tuesday for those looking to try them.
Options include Pulled Beef (RMB 98), Pulled Pork (RMB 68) and Grilled Chicken (RMB 68) in soft shell tacos, each with their own special fixings and sauces. Another offering is the Prawn Crunchy Corn Tacos (RMB 80), topped with smoked chili sauce, spicy ketchup, yogurt sauce, and jalapenos.

The Local
Longstanding Sanlitun institution The Local does RMB 18 for all tacos from 4pm until 10pm every Tuesday. Along with Shrimp, Fried Fish, and Chicken, they’re also one of the only places in town that does Beef Barbacoa, aka slow-roasted pulled beef, which we’d definitely tack up as a must try.

Pebbles Courtyard
This ever popular hutong situated Mexican spot recently made a change to their Taco Tuesday special, offering RMB 108 for ten tacos in total. The original deal (RMB 98 for six tacos) is still on offer, though, except now it’s available Tuesday to Sunday, so you can enjoy any day of the week!
Pebbles also added another veggie option, Nopales Tacos (RMB 55), made with grilled paddles of the prickly pear cactus. As for other changes, the restaurant is currently undergoing renovations, after which it will join forces with Mona Bar and Galakee Coffee, so expect more new dishes and good things to come!
In light of the renovations, Pebbles will be closed this Tuesday but they'll be open from Wednesday (Sep 5) onwards.

Taco Tuesday Tour
Not sure where to head to for tacos? There's a crawl for that! Having kicked off earlier this summer, the Taco Tuesday Tour by Crawl Safari features stops at three locations in Sanlitun for tacos, tequila, and specials on snacks and more, all for only RMB 50 (plus an optional RMB 25 extra for a sombrero that unlocks more deals).
