Where Are Nali Patio's Bars and Restaurants Now?

It’s been a little over three months since Nali Patio shut its doors for good. While it’s sad to see Nali go, the good news is that many of the bars and restaurants who called the complex home have found new life in new places around the city in some shape or form.

Some spots found new locations right off the bat, with The Bell x Terrazza Martini and Mosto being the first to announce their move to new digs.

Martini traded in the rooftop for a large courtyard garden space in Huamao this July, rebranding from Terrazza Martini to Martini Garden. The old Martini sign now sits above a four-sided bar, with ample outdoor seating and indoor dining on offer as well. They’ve trimmed the menu to focus solely on Italian fare, with cocktails, spritzes, wine, and other tipples on offer.

Mosto has settled into the new Mix岛 complex, where it’s found a home alongside D.A.O. Coffee and others. Here you’ll still find the same menu of twists on Spanish and Mediterranean fare, plus a good wine selection to boot.

More recent reopenings include Wagyukami, which has moved into the Sanlitun Courtyard No. 4 complex and rebranded as Niukami x Wagyukami. They’re serving up a thing very near and dear to our hearts – burgers. For those who miss the old steak sandos Wagyukami did up at Nali, those are still on offer as well.

Niukami is joined in Courtyard No. 4 by cococean, where those in search of a beverage or two imbued with the nutty, sweet flavor of coconut can go.

And finally, there’s Bottega. Even though the Neapolitan pizza place had one other location in JinShang Yuan when Nali Patio closed, they opened a new second location right next to QMEX in Zhongjun World City this past Friday, bringing their award-winning pies – they were named 8th best in the Top 50 Pizza list this year, a big jump from 14th in 2022 – to the CBD area. They've also just dropped a new menu for winter, which you can read about here.

The team behind M Natural recently opened a stand for M Bakery in Sanlitun Taikooli North (behind the Opposite House, not far from the Canada Goose store), which, along with their branch in Galaxy SOHO, showcases the baked goods made popular at the former restaurant. They plan to open a new location next year. As for La Social, the bar and nightlife spot is still in limbo, but they've had a bit of new life thanks to some pop-ups hosted at Migas Mercado.

As regards to El Barrio and Daruma, which were run by the same BFB team behind Bottega and Forno, their fate is still unclear. Some restaurants have located further afield, with modern Lanzhou noodle bar Bei 27 Hao moving to Aranya, and Spanish restaurant Niajo having made plans to move to Shanghai at the time of Nali's closure.
