Music, Games, Dancing and More Fun at the Juicy Burger Fest

Juicy Burger Fest 2023 is only one day away and we’re all set to bring you an amazing weekend of burgers, drinks, music and plenty of other fun starting from tomorrow, Oct 27. We’ve already taken a gander at the exclusive burgers you can only get at the fest, plus our other wonderful vendors, so now it’s time to see what entertainment we have in store!

Music

Gypsy Amigos

Here to take you to the world of gypsies with their fusion music is Gypsy Amigos, who will be taking to the stage on both Saturday (Oct 28) and Sunday (Oct 29). Made up of Mavlan, Mirzat and 图尔荪塔依 (Túěr Sūntǎyī) the band was founded in 2021 by Mavlan, they bring a truly global sound when performing. They play a blend of various styles of music with everything from Spanish flamenco, rumba, gypsy, Latin and pop music to Western music and ethnic music. Their improvisational musical exchanges are a key part of the performance and they’re bound to keep the crowd on their toes. 

ME 3P OH

ME 3P OH are a three-piece plug and play punk band who perform original and creative melodies. They’re influenced by old school Oi!, grunge and punk. Their tunes are catchy, melodic and, most importantly, self-aware. They’ll be performing on both Saturday (Oct 28) and Sunday (Oct 29) so don’t miss it!

DJ Arquitect

A veteran of Beijinger events, Dairon Cardona, aka DJ Arquitect, will be joining us to finish off Day One (Sat, Oct 28) of Juicy Burger Fest with a bang! One of Beijing’s most popular Latin music DJs, he plays a mix of Latin, Afro, Caribbean, and house music to create great energy on the dance floor.

DJ Enno Alpha 

Another familiar face at Beijinger events, DJ Ennoe-Alpha will have the honor of closing out Burger Fest on Sun, Oct 29. Be sure to expect great tunes, loads of dancing and super high energy levels. DJ Ennoe-Alpha joined the entertainment scene in 2018. He taught himself how to blend in mixed tracks from listening to superstar DJs and car radio stations in numerous DJ mixes, and has dominated the popular Afrobeat hip-hop and reggae environment ever since. He blends a mix of tracks from genres such as reggae, reggae dub step, Afrobeat, deep house and funky house.

DJ Jagerzhadan

Kicking off Burger Fest on Fri, Oct 27, we have DJ Jagerzhadan. A regular performer at Modernista and QS, he uses a “revolving door” of genres to suit the energy and makeup of the constantly changing crowd. He plays rotation of ‘80s, ‘90s alt and pop, classic rock, Latino, Afrobeats, R&B, new pop, K-pop, C-pop, disco, dance house and dance.

DJ Monkey King

With over ten years of experience behind the decks, the alter ego of Leo Furioso is making his Burger Fest debut on day one of Juicy Burger Fest, Fri, Oct 27. He doesn’t fly on a cloud but his DJ sets will make you fly. His staff doesn’t grow but your music knowledge will. He doesn’t use kicks to fight demons, but to make the crowds dance. He doesn’t beat enemies but uses beats to bring people together. Regular burger eater, with a belly like Zhu Bajie, aka Pigsy, to prove it, and DJ in some of your favorite burger joints (think Side Street, Great Leap, and Slowboat). Get ready for the Funkiest Monkey from the West.

DJ Nola

Starting things off on Sat, Oct 28, is DJ Christian Nola. Originally from Montreal, he’s called Beijing home since 2018. With a career spanning nearly three decades, he has played in clubs and parties across the world, including in Montreal, New York, London, Lima, Tel Aviv and Ibiza. Nola takes the dancefloor on a percussive, bassline-heavy, funky and always soulful musical trip.

DJ Synovak

Kicking off Burger Fest on Sun, Oct 29, is DJ Synovak. A passionate music lover who has always dreamed of sharing his favorite tunes with the world, DJ Synovak was born and raised in a small town in Italy. He grew up listening to a wide variety of music, from classic rock to electronic dance music. After years of tinkering with turntables and mixers, Synovak decided to take his passion for music to the next level and pursue a career as a DJ. 

He started by playing at local parties and events, and quickly developed a reputation as a talented and enthusiastic newcomer to the scene. Synovak's style is influenced by a range of genres, but he particularly enjoys playing nu disco, funky and soulful house tracks that get the crowd moving. He has a knack for reading the room and adjusting his playlist to fit the mood, ensuring that everyone has a great time. He is constantly seeking out new music and refining his skills, and is excited to see where his passion for DJing will take him next.

Dance

Sazon Salsa Flash Mob

Our long-time friends and collaborators SAZON will be gracing the stage with their energetic dance moves on Sun, Oct 29. SAZON have been delivering the most up-to-beat Cuban dance culture and trends to China since 2016. They consist of professional Cuban dancers whose expertise is not limited to Cuban dance, but also includes popular dance styles from around the world. When they perform there’s sure to be plenty of laughs and fun.  

Hot Warm Up With Ugin

Fitness coach and dancer Ugin will be leading a Hot Warm Up to get everyone up on their feet and dancing. Hailing from Ukraine, he’s lived in China for ten years and has 14 years of dance experience and eight years in the fitness industry. If his face (or killer abs) looks familiar to you that might be because he’s also a social media blogger with 260k followers and over 100 million views on Tiktok. 

Swing It Up High

Blue and Lynn will be joining us on the stage on Fri, Oct 27, to show off their swing dancing moves. The founder of the Swing Friends Community, they’re dedicated to sharing Swing Jazz-related dance, music, and culture with a wider audience. They began organizing classes, performances, competitions and other swing dance related events in 2018 with the intention of spreading the joy of swing to anyone who loves life.

Entertainment

Do the Monkey Style 

In keeping with this year’s Juicy Burger Fest theme, we have some Journey to the West-inspired games for you to take part in! First up we have “Do the Monkey Style,” which will be taking place on Saturday and Sunday at 3pm. We’ll invite contestants up on stage to show off their best Monkey King moves, progressing up to combining them with a Monkey Staff.

Magic Staff Limbo

How low can you go? Our second Journey to the West-themed activity is Magic Staff Limbo, taking place Saturday and Sunday at 5pm, which will see competitors trying to get as low as possible under our giant, and we truly do mean giant, Magic Staff.

Fun Zone

Guanto Family Sports Center is bringing family fun once again with their Fun Zone. They’ll having things like mini trampolines, burger jenga, and cornhole, plus a whole range of Journey to the West-related games. Also don’t forget that on Saturday and Sunday kids under 1.4 meters get in for FREE before 2pm!

Darts

Thanks to DARTSLIVE we will also have some electronic dartboards for you to try out your skills and challenge your friends.

Some vendors will also be doing an array of drinking games, activities and other fun things, so be sure to keep an eye out for those during the festival.

The Beijinger's 2023 Juicy Burger Fest is happening on Fri, Oct 27, from 3pm to 9pm and Sat, Oct 28-Sun, Oct 29, from 11am to 9pm at Xidianjiyi FunsTown in Gaobeidian. Standard early bird tickets start at RMB 20/person and can be purchased by scanning the QR code in the poster.
