Beer Challenge, DJs and More at the Cheesy Pizza Cup Final Taste-Off

You might have thought that this Saturday’s (Feb 11) Cheesy Pizza Cup Final Taste-Off is all about stuffing your face with pizza, but no there is more! Along with getting to try the Final Four pizzas in the Cheesy Pizza Cup -- plus a mystery pizza -- there will also be a Beer Challenge where you can win a boozy prize, and during each session there will be a live DJ set.

Did someone say prize? Yes! There will be a super fun Beer Challenge and the winner will receive a whopping 24 can case of beer from SLOWBOAT BREWERY.

So how exactly does this Beer Challenge work?

Well, first you’ll need to find yourself a drinking partner. You and your partner will then be kitted out in some of Beijing’s most fashionable rain ponchos and then blindfolded. Each of you will be handed a beer and then you’ll have one minute to feed each other as much beer as possible while also trying to spill as little beer as possible. The couple who manages to drink the most beer and spill the least, will be declared the winners!

Along with the Beer Challenge we will also be setting up a giant pizza sticker onto which you can toss “toppings” – why not compete with your friends and see who can get their topping closest to the center?

During each of the four Cheesy Pizza Cup Final Taste-Off sessions there will also be live DJ sets brought to you by BAJA GLITTER. Founded in 2018 by Eric Lee, BAJA GLITTER is a collaboration of different artists who all share the same love for easy dance music. They play a mix of Funk, Jazz, Electric, Disco, Soul, House and Groove which is guaranteed to get you up and dancing!

Session One (10.30am-1pm): Eric Lee

Session Three (4.30-7pm): H.T.M
Session Four (7.30-10.30pm): Ken Song

Wait one second though! They won’t be the only DJs playing, we will also have our own special Beijinger DJ, DJ Bribery! Have a song request? All you need to do is bribe him and he will play your song.

Now, of course, let’s not forget about the pizza! Our Final Four Cheesy Pizza Cup contenders Gung Ho!, Pie Squared, Forno and Joe’s Pizza plus a mystery pizza will all be slinging their pies there. You can wash it all down with beer, wine, and cocktails provided by SLOWBOAT, CHEERS, and ROC.
