Last Chance to Vote in the Cheesy Pizza Cup Elite Eight

The end is nigh in this year’s Cheesy Pizza Cup with voting in the Elite Eight ending tomorrow (Jan 6) at noon. That means you have less than 24 hours to vote for your favorite pizza place, so get voting now!

After voting ends the Final Four will be announced shortly after and these four pizza purveyors will battle it out in a live taste off in mid-Feb.

Here’s a recap of the contest thus far…

Former champions Gung Ho!, Bottega, and Pie Squared all moved on to the Elite Eight, but another former champ Kro’s Nest was ousted by Bottega.

There were also a handful of close calls, with Pyro Pizza beating La Platea, Gung Ho! beating Q Mex, and Annie’s beating La Pizza by less than 20 votes each.

New pizza joint Joe’s Pizza continued on its surprise winning streak beating out pizza veteran Jing-A. Another brewery that fell by the wayside was Great Leap, which was knocked out by reigning champ Pie Squared.

This left our Elite Eight match up looking like this:

The number in parentheses indicates their initial ranking, "New" indicates a new venue this year; and an asterisk (*) indicates a participant in Cheesy Pizza Month.
