Restaurant Week Plus is Back – Here are a Few of Our Recommendations
Foodies of Beijing rejoice, Restaurant Week Plus is back! For those who don’t know, Restaurant Week is a biannual food festival put on by Dining City where some of the capital’s best restaurants offer up set menu deals with at least three courses.
This Restaurant Week Plus is a special one-off event following the Covid outbreak this spring. It kicked off on Jul 14 and will run until Aug 21, yes it’s more of a restaurant month rather than just a week, which gives you even more time to snap up some of these great deals!
There are four fixed price categories to choose from:
- Elite: Price determined by restaurants
- Category A: RMB 148 for lunch and RMB 298 for dinner
- Category B: RMB 118 for lunch and RMB 198 for dinner
- Category C: RMB 78 for lunch and RMB 118 for dinner
Along with these set menu deals, many restaurants are also offering 10 percent off on a la carte dishes as well. To book you need to either login and book through the official website (www.restaurantweek.cn), through the Dining City APP, or through the Dining City WeChat mini program (scan the QR code below).
There are a whopping 99 restaurants offering deals in Beijing and you can filter through them by cuisine, date, location, price etc. To make things a little easier, we've picked a few recommendations you should definitely try out.
CHAO Living Room
One of the A category restaurants CHAO Living Room’s Mediterranean themed menu has a focus on fresh, healthy food. This chic eatery and bar have piano music during the week or a live jazz band on the weekends. They are only open for dinner and as well as the set menu being offered you can also pay an additional RMB 120 to add on a “three wines tasting experience” to accompany the meal.
