How to See a Detailed Monthly Breakdown of WeChat Payments

There are tons of tips and tricks that you can do on WeChat, and bets are there are probably quite a few that most people aren’t even aware of. One such useful trick that you might not know about is being able to view a detailed breakdown of your WeChat payments.

In this breakdown you can see monthly payments going back about eight months, with summaries of how much you spent on certain apps or in certain venues. This is a great way to keep track of your money, see possible ways to save or just satisfy your curiosity to see just how much you’re spending on waimai or other services each month.

So here is our step by step guide of how to see just how much you’re spending and where!

First off in the “Me” section of WeChat click on “Services”

Next, click on “Wallet”

Then, click on “Transactions” in the top right corner

You’ll then be taken to a page where you can see all your recent transactions along with where they were made and what time.

You can click to see a list of transactions for each month by selecting the month option at the top

Above the month option you can choose which type of payments you want to choose specifically

You'll then be given the following options

To see overall payments for each month you’ll need to click this button which says 统计 tǒng jì (statistics)

You’ll then be taken to this page where you can see your total payments for the current month

Below this you can see a chart showing your expenditures by month

If you scroll further down you can then see your monthly expenses for the current month by category such as Meituan waimai, transfers, or specific shops listed in order of highest amount

To view your expenditures for other months, scroll back to the top and you can select the month you want to view (it only goes about eight months back).

Along with expenditures you can also select if you want to view income or “other” payments by selecting one of the three buttons in a line near the top – these options from left to right are: 支出 zhī chū (expenditure), 收入 shōurù (income) and 其他 qí tā (other).

You can also see your total payments by year by selecting 年账单 nián zhàng dān, though again it only goes as far back as around right months.

And there you have it, that’s how you can see a detailed breakdown of your WeChat expenses.

You know, the world's classics in all languages are available for free online.

This is indeed true. I recommend `Zlibrary' where as Gino rightly states you can find just about everything worth reading. Personally I prefer to print stuff out and have a hard copy. For some reason reading stuff on a screen just doesn't mix well with my mind. It just goes in one eye and out the bumhole and flushed. Few things as enjoyable as just laying abed for the day reading, reading, thinking and thinking. No TV, no phone, no computer. Just reading and thinking.
