Jing-A keg egg happy hour at 798
Jing-A Brewing’s famous keg egg will be parked in front of their soon-to-open 798 Art District digs – next to M Woods – this afternoon (Nov 5) from 4-6pm for a little pre-opening happy hour. Expect all of the brewery’s classics on tap plus a few new favorites. The pours are all free, and there will be some other treats and prizes available, so be sure to check it out if you’re in the neighborhood.
EAST Beijing offering two-hour free-flow vouchers
Hotel EAST Beijing is dishing out some special offers for guests and visitors in the leadup to Double 11, one of which is a quaffable deal for discerning drinkers. That is, vouchers for two-hour free-flow on craft beers and cocktails (RMB 198/voucher), which in and of itself isn’t too shabby, but it gets better. If you buy three vouchers, each consecutive voucher is only RMB 168, meaning you can grab one for yourself and a couple of friends. So spread that love and ensure your Singles’ Day isn’t too terribly lonely.
Slow Boat releases final 10 year anniversary beer
Slow Boat continues to churn out beers by the week, and they’re showing no signs of slowing down. Case in point: This week, they’ve dropped the final beer in their 10-year anniversary series, the Triple Oat Cream IPA. Made with a special combination of hops, oats, and pomegranate honey from Shangri-La Farms, it features a creamy mouthfeel with tropical fruit notes. However, for how smooth it is, it's equally as deadly, clocking in at an eye-watering – and not the least bit symbolic – 10.10% ABV! Bottles are now available at all Slow Boat locations as well as their Taobao shop.
Seasonal margaritas at Las Musas
As the capital's leaves begin to turn their gorgeous golds and reds, Las Musas is unveiling two new autumn-inspired margaritas: The Pomegranate Margarita, made with tequila reposado, fresh pomegranate juice, and rich Grand Marnier liqueur; and the Apple Pie Margarita (pictured above), made with winter spice-infused tequila and fuji apple juice.
Four-You-Can-Drink Fridays at Bar Whisper & Co.
Billing itself as a “speakeasy-style” bar in Sanlitun, the recently opened Bar Whisper & Co. is pulling out all the stops with its new Friday night special, Four-You-Can-Drink. Here’s how it works: Simply tell the bartender you saw their event listing on the Beijinger’s website, then the first cocktail is free, the second is half-price, and the third is BOGO. It’s both a good way to start your night or to keep the evening going, so be sure to give this one a try!
