Universal Studios Beijing Concept Art Gives Sneak Peek of the Park's Entrance
We’re finally starting to get a picture of what it will feel like to stroll into the Universal Studios Resort Beijing, which is set to open in 2021 despite COVID-19 challenges. That's because new concept art has been released of the theme park’s CityWalk, the entertainment and shopping center that will welcome visitors on their way into the park.
With 15 food and beverage venues and eight retail stores, CityWalk promises to be an attraction in itself. Of particular note on the restaurant end are new brands, Wubei Craft Food and Beer and the South Asian night market Neon Street Hawkers, while old Universal favorites like Cowfish Sushi Bar and Toothsome Chocolate Emporium and Savory Feast Kitchen will be present too. If kids are in the equation, they will be sure to enjoy the Cutie Cones Ice Cream.
The square will also be home to Beijing’s largest IMAX theater, featuring 11 screens and 2,000 seats, as well as the debut of POP MART’s concept store, and the first flagship Kaokao Friends store in China, selling trinkets and merchandise adorned with those beloved Korean cartoon characters.
In their press release, Universal Studios emphasized that CityWalk and its venues will be a cross between traditional Chinese and “cutting-edge modern” design. In fact, cultural blending will be present in both the architecture and the branding of the square. For instance, the Grandma’s Home brand that offers nostalgia-inducing meals for some American diners will be called Grandma’s Travel Home at its CityWalk location.
The venues will be open from early morning until late to accommodate a range of visitors, from tourists looking to get an early start on their day at the theme park to Beijingers looking for a late-night out.

Re: Universal Studios Beijing Concept Art Gives Sneak Peek of...
1st they have to open the airports to accomodate the foreigners, but since this will be locally run, it to will go the way of Shanghai Disney or indeed the Dodo
Shanghai Disney is doing fine (outside of coronavirus time)
the positive for them this virus time, is that complaints are down, and not just some of the rides, all of them, at its optimum it was running at 60% but complaints were runing at 100%
if thats your idea of "doing fine" who needs it
