How to Watch Star-Studded 'Together at Home' Concert in Beijing, Apr 19

It's hard for anyone to sit at home, doing nothing while a pandemic like the COVID-19 ravages the globe, and celebrities are no different, apparently. Spurred by the success of the #TogetherAtHome series, in which celebrities and musicians livestreamed concerts and performances from their homes, international collective Global Citizens has just announced a huge, eight-hour entertainment marathon featuring more than 70 international stars.

Jointly organized by the World Health Organization (WHO), 'One World: Together at Home' is spearheaded by Lady Gaga, and features a whos-who list of international stars, including Paul McCartney, Andrea Bocelli, Megan Rapinoe, Billie Eilish, Lewis Hamilton, Oprah Winfrey, LL Cool J, Sam Smith, Lizzo, and many others too numerous to name.

Asia won't go unrepresented either: Chinese piano maestro Lang Lang, and Hong Kong musicians and stars Jacky Cheung and Eason Chan will also be taking to the stage.

Unfortunately, although the first portion, the six-hour 'global digital livestream' is available to citizens the world over (or at least those with an active internet connection), according to the FAQ page of the concert website, it appears that the two-hour 'linear broadcast,' (featuring the biggest names of all), will only be broadcast in the US and the UK.

But other than making us feel good and temporarily distracted, the enormous concert has another noble goal: to support frontline healthcare workers and the WHO. Yet while the original 1985 Live Aid has left behind a very complicated legacy, by avoiding the overheads of coordinating an actual concert, Together at Home stands to do slightly better. Contributions from corporate partners and sponsors will go directly to the WHO’s Solidarity Response Fund to support and equip healthcare workers around the world, and the lineup is also scheduled to include leading global health experts, who will presumably attempt to speak up against much of the misinformation circulating around the COVID-19. And don't think you can skip the educational part: the lineup will not be announced so you have to tune in to the whole thing if you don't want to miss your favorite act.

The livestream portion will begin broadcasting at Apr 19 at 2am Beijing time, on the following platforms: Alibaba, Amazon Prime Video, Apple, Facebook, Instagram, LiveXLive, Tencent, Tencent Music Entertainment Group, TIDAL, TuneIn, Twitch, Twitter, Yahoo, and YouTube. they are the murky bed fellows who like to lie and deceive and cheat and when caught out in the deception, then they try to paint themselves as the victims with this Concert Propaganda, sounds very like a Country not a million miles away
