Oct 25-27: Terri Camping and Music Festival
This weekend, outdoor lifestyle brand TERRI is hosting a three-day camping festival at Tiankai Park in Fangshan District. The weekend aims to give city-slickers a full-on camping experience, with plenty of fun outdoor activities (like building a makeshift shelter or chopping wood), a market offering a wide range of local food and crafts, as well as plenty of live music from a great line-up including indie-pop outfit Peache Illusion, and Beijing-based rockers SNSOS. Oct 26: Beijing Flea Market
The ever-popular Beijing Flea Market is back on Saturday, Oct 26, with its Autumn Edition. While this isn't really a true 'flea market', we are always glad to see such a thriving scene for local artists and artisans, so come on down and check out cool local vendors selling everything from clothing, to handicrafts, to food, and much, much more. Oct 26-27: Youth Coffee Day
Coffee Youth Day, the second of its kind, is back to Beijing for two days, gathering over 20 local specialty coffee vendors, including April and Café, BerryBeans, and Metal Hands, just to name a few of them. There will also be themed talks designed to enrich your knowledge of coffee, as well as local artisans and avant-garde designers. Click here for a full vendor list and tickets. Oct 26-27: Hutong Art Festival
It's not too early to start working on your Christmas gift list! If you want to get a head-start, you could do worse than shopping at the Hutong Art Festival (HAF). This two-day event celebrates local comic artists, illustrators, and storytellers, and features creations from independent artists, professionals, brands, and collectives. Stock up on postcards, posters, fridge magnets, zines, comics, photography prints, handcrafted jewelry, and plenty of other great artworks. Free. 11am-7pm. Big Small Coffee (Beiluo branch)
Oct 26-31: Pumpkin Spice-up Fair
Halloween is just around the corner! And while there are a truly staggering number of Halloween-related events lined up in Beijing (check them all out here), this one merits a special mention. For six days, Woodstock of Eating is taking over Indigo Mall in 798 with a Halloween market. Over 30 vendors will be selling spooky and creative Halloween themed items and other arty crafts, delicious homemade food, and DIY workshops. There will also be live music from local musicians throughout the festival, live magic shows, and plenty of other fun and family-friendly activities. Free. 10am-10pm. Indigo Mall
