Zhang Na: Beijing, the Moment
Photographer Zhang Na presents a solo exhibition documenting life in Beijing through two series of street photography (also pictured at top). In one series, Zhang captures the free flow of movement in a vibrant, colorful Beijing that also stands as the city of the past. In another, the photographer revitalizes stagnancy through her black and white stills of a lost summer. Through their work, she seeks to convey a sense of disassociation and confusion that may come with living in a colossal city. Free. 10am-6pm. George V Art Centre

The musical we've all been waiting for is finally hitting the Beijing stage. As the sister production of the musical masterpiece Shrek the Musical, Madagascar the Musical promises a similarly comical performance, revisiting the sensational film series as Dreamworks relaunches the lovable cast on an "unexpected journey to the madcap world of King Julien's Madagascar" that promises to make the audience "Move it, Move it!" Roundabout Book Fair and Flea Market
Browse, and perhaps purchase, from thousands of donated books and items at the British School of Beijing's Roundabout fair. Midnight in Peking Walking Tour
Paul French's bestselling novel, Midnight in Peking, is brought to life in a walking tour through Beijing. In this collaboration between Bespoke Beijing and Penguin Books, fans can "retrace the footsteps of those embroiled in the grisly death of Pamela Werner," the daughter of a British diplomat who fell victim to a tragic murder in old Peking. Additional work has been conducted on the Chinese perspective of the case, providing unforeseen insight on the murder. RMB 450. 6.30-9.30pm. Zhonggu Hotel
