5 Things to Taste, Smell, Touch, Hear, and See, Mar 29-31
Beijing can be an overstimulating place to live, to say the least. Let’s be real: sometimes even our sixth sense (the one that tells you when that stick of chuan'r will make you sick for the next two days) gets a decent workout. With such a wide variety of events, restaurants, and gigs to attend, we suggest bathing each of your five senses in one, if not all, of the nourishing goings-on below.
Taste

Never running out of brunch options is one of the great perks of living in the city. This weekend is no different, and if you head to Hatchery this Sunday, you can enjoy a cup of coffee, partake in a coffee tasting, receive an egg brunch as well as a freshly baked snack, all for the unbeatable price of RMB 150. Smell
Mar 31: Camera Stylo Vintage Market
Hmmm smell that vintage aroma? No, we're not talking about dust. We're talking great, one-of-a-kind finds. This Sunday, hutong cinema hero Camera Stylo, is hosting a vintage market. The market will feature over 24 vendors selling clothes, antiques, film cameras, and a whole host of other oldie treasures. Once you're suitable shopped-out, celebrate with a hard-earned rooftop beer. Free. 1.30-7pm. Camera Stylo

Y ou can then go drown your sorrows at the official afterparty at DDC! 7pm. Free. Wilderness Coffee
See
Until Jun 15: Marina Abramović at Light Society
Marina Abramović, who among many other notable works, documented one of the most dramatic break-ups in history. That work, in which she walked with her partner along the Great Wall for 90 days, in order to separate at the end, can now be seen in Beijing alongside a collection of the Serbian's work from over the past 40 years. Most excitingly, those works include some that have never been exhibited in China before. RMB 50. Tue-Sun 11am-4.30pm. Light Society
