Zhongguancun Belt and Road Association Health Innovation Cooperation Forum
With the support of sponsored agencies, this Thursday sees the inaugural meeting of the Professional Health Committee alongside the Zhongguancun Belt and Road Association, in an effort to build a platform for the countries involved in the Belt and Road initiative to learn more about China's health industry. Forum: Entrepreneurial Actions
Hosted by University College London’s school of management and Peking University, this forum will touch upon a wide range of issues facing modern movers-and-shakers. Zhuang Yang, co-dean of the Beijing International MBA will discuss leadership, character, and entrepreneurship; David Chapman, deputy director UCL’s School of Management, will talk about the various methods he employs to help reduce uncertainty in business; and Fiona Reid, senior teaching fellow at UCL’s School of Management, will dissect the clash that comes from entrepreneurship vs. management. University of Chicago Center in Beijing Open House
Curious about what the University of Chicago is up to here in Beijing? Join them for an open house this Saturday hosted by Interim Executive Director Yuan Ji who will give a tour of the center's facilities and discuss the history and development of the University of Chicago's engagement with China. Yuan will also be available to answer questions about the Center in Beijing's work and mission, as well as questions about the University of Chicago. Happy Hour at Lush
Since 2003 Lush has been the go-to spot for international students, English teachers, and itinerant Wudaokouers. Those in the area will be happy to hear that Lush has something on every day, 6pm onwards: Monday is half-price martini night; Tuesday is reduced-price beer night; Wednesday is their weekly pub quiz; Thursday is open mic; and Friday is live music night.
