2016 Year in Review: The Year's Craziest Meteorological Phenomenon
As always, this year went from cold, to hot as balls, and back to cold. But we loved the changes, and so did you, apparently. Below are the year's most popular weather-related stories.
Smog, Snow, and a Low of -12 Degrees Celsius
Following an initial false snow report, the year's first snow came on Monday, November 21, which also saw temperatures dropping to a low of -12 degrees Celsius throughout the remainder of that week.
Beijing Heating to Come on an Entire Two Days Earlier Than Planned
Due to colder than average temperatures, Beijing's central heating came on on November 13, two entire days before the usual November 15 start date. We also received intermittent reports of heating turning on earlier in some compounds throughout the city.
