New Sanlitun Lifestyle Store Artemis Launches Afternoon Tea With Italian Brand Seletti

Artemis, Sanlitun's newest lifestyle store, came onto our radar after teaming up with Italian brand Seletti to bring the area a new afternoon tea that is a little bit less conventional: there's not a scone in sight.

The set comes in two stages: a savory course, and a savory and sweet course. Our favorite on the savoury side was a (sustainable) tuna salad dip with a slight kick and a side of toasted wholegrain bread. On the sweet side (round two is pictured at top), strong contenders for favorites were a less sweet yogurt and chia pudding with berries, which was extremely fresh and summery, and the tiramisu which was deliciously creamy, sitting on a moist layer of cake.

Total price for the set is RMB 288 for two people, but you can add another person for RMB 168. Afternoon tea here is available every day between 2pm and 6pm, look out for deals on Enjoy.

The store itself, which is located in Sanlitun Village directly opposite the Mac store in what used to be Agnes B, is also worth a browse. Brands brought into the store are mostly Scandinavian or Southern European, with a focus on design and things with a slightly masculine flair, realizing a gap in the market for "less girly things." Either way, we can see an occassion for everything on the shelves, from their range of luxurious scented candles, to unique bronze decorations, plates, vases, and mugs.

Finally, we particularly enjoyed their beautiful and tasty designer tuna tins (RMB 75, there are also sardines and octopus at different prices) imported from Portugal from the brand Jose Gourmet. Great if you're looking for a present for a foodie, or just to treat yourself.
