Four Seasons Beijing Launches The Nail Suite

In terms of treating yourself, one of the best things about living in Beijing is the low cost of nail care, something the majority of my female friends (and a fair chunk of my male friends) indulge in frequently. There's no denying, however, that the service at the cheaper nail salons can feel a little like they're trying to get you in and out of the door as soon as possible.

This is where Four Season Beijing's newly opened The Nail Suite comes in. The first dedicated nail studio in a five-star hotel in Beijing, The Nail Suite is located within their sixth-floor spa area. With just two manicure stations, two pedicure stations, and a small lounge area, fitted with plush furnishing, the studio is designed to be pretty exclusive.

On a recent visit I was treated to the luxury spa manicure (RMB 680 for SpaRitual organic polish, RMB 880 for gel polish, all prices plus 15 percent surcharge), which includes *deep breath* a soak, cut, file, buff, cuticle care, scrub, treatment mask, massage, and polish. Little touches such as jasmine serum in the soaking water and a scented hydration spray at the end of the treatment certainly made it feel a cut above. I had to skip color because I'm bad at managing my time, but the colors available looked vibrant. There are also express manicure packages (from RMB 280) and pedicures (from RMB 380) available, plus manipedi services for men and add-ons such as 30-minute hand or foot massages.

The Nail Suite uses products from international brand SpaRitual, known for their holistic approach to nail care products, many of which are vegan, or use organic or fair trade plant essences. I particularly liked the hand serum, which left my flaky, cold-ravaged skin feeling brand new (and smelling gorgeous).

While you're enjoying your manipedi, tuck into the thoughtfully provided macarons and marshmallows, which just happen match the room's purple and dusky pink decor (love). Touches like this, combined with the high quality service and serene atmosphere, make Four Seasons' Nail Suite a great choice for a treat or a special occasion.
