Hong Kong Airlines Offers Roundtrip Hong Kong Flights for as Low as HKD 1,150
Rejoice, fans of Hong Kong travel. Hong Kong Airlines is celebrating its ninth anniversary, and lower fares seem to be on the offer as a result.
Beginning with the weekend of October 30-November 1, and continuing until at least the weekend of December 18-20, one can bounce to Hong Kong and back for as low as HKD 1,150 including tax and fees (about RMB 946). That may be the lowest fare we've seen. Other dates may work, we only input (long) weekends.
One thing that didn't work was the fare finder that linked directly from a promotional email sent by Hong Kong Airlines. Tried it on two computers and three browsers, never generated a result. That's an interesting marketing tactic.
US citizens, have you made your appointment yet to get pages added to your passport? Put it on your to-do list, as that service is ending at the end of the year. We wrote about it here.
Air China will commence non-stop service from Beijing to Montreal, Canada, beginning September 29. It will serve those two cities three times per week.
