Overcome Monday Blues at Slow Boat and Capital Spirits with Distilled Beer All Month

Slow Boat Brewery and Capital Spirits’ new project will either get your inner distiller over-excited, or bring shivers down your spine. Perhaps you won’t know until after you’ve tried the new creation: they have distilled their favorite beers.

In case you were wondering, distillation is where you collect condensation created by the vapors of a boiled fermented liquid, which results in a very high concentrate alcohol, perfect for overcoming those Monday blues.

This is why every Monday during the month of May you can hop on down to the Slow Boat Taproom, and try, as they say, "the nectar of the gods." Offerings are Double Distilled Monkey’s Fist IPA (56%), Double Distilled Maple Brown Ale (45%), and Triple Distilled Maple Brown Ale (45%). Unfortunately bureaucracy prevents them from actually selling it, but you can taste it. All you have to do is rock up and demand to taste some of it (nicely). You’ll also be able to try these fine tipples at Beijing's premium baijiu bar Capital Spirits.
