New York Times Gives a 36 Hour Showcase of Beijing
The New York Times has published their own round-up of Beijing showing how to get the most out of visiting with very limited time. In their ongoing 36 Hours In saga they have filmed their hit-picks of what to eat, drink, and see, in this burgeoning metropolis. As you would expect a lot of the hotspots are ones well known to both the expat and abroad communities. Watch the video below for sweeping country landscapes, colorful temples, and enthusiastic personalities promoting the good, gritty spirit we all know and love about this city.
We're impressed to see cuisine from very distinct regions in China being highlighted like famed Yunnan brand In and Out and the fiery theatrics of Haidilao Hot Pot making the video, and the ubiquitous white spirit also gets an honorable mention from our own baijiu bar Capital Spirits, but we'd like to know if you think they hit the travel nail on the head, or did they completely miss something inherently unique to Beijing?
