Iron Man 3 Release Date Announced: Jr. Presented With Snake Throne
After weeks of speculation over the release date of Iron Man 3, it has finally been announced that the film will be launched in China on May 3. According to Xinhua, the announcement was made during the Iron Man’s (Robert Downey, Jr.) 24-hour landing in Beijing over the weekend.
The star has now cultivated a massive fan following in China and is quoted by the local media as having said, “Thank you, Chinese culture,” at a Forbidden City press conference last night. He was presented with a snake throne at the press event to honor his Chinese zodiac sign.
Promotion for the third Iron Man film, which includes scenes shot in Beijing and cameos from Chinese film stars, will be rampant in the capital all month. We’re even expecting some sort of connection with the Beijing International Film Festival, which opens on April 23.
