2013 Reader Restaurant Awards: Voting Now Closed

Voting in the 2013 Reader Restaurant Awards ended at midnight on March 4. This was four days earlier than our printed materials originally announced, which has caused some confusion and dismay amongst some participants.

The date was changed due to scheduling issues with the awards ceremony venue, and to allow us enough time to properly tabulate the results (and weed out attempts at ballot-stuffing) and prepare the awards.

Unfortunately the message of the earlier closing date for voting did not reach everyone. We apologize for any confusion or inconvenience this may have caused.

Thanks to all who voted. Results will be announced on March 14.

We left the balloting open until the 8th.

Less than 5% of the votes came in after the 4th

We double checked the results we tabulated on the 4th with the remaining votes that came in afterward and there was no change in the results
