the Beijinger is seeking a highly motivated Dining Editorial Assistant. This is a full-time position.
What you will do
- Pitch and write articles for the Beijinger magazine and TheBeijinger.com
- Conduct research for (and contribute reporting to) articles by other staff writers and editors
- Help audit and maintain our venue database
- Represent the Beijinger at F&B industry events
- Constantly seeking new ways for the Beijinger to engage with its readers and the community at large

- Deep knowledge of the diversity of Chinese cuisine
- A distinctive editorial voice
- Previous media experience
- Passionate about self-improvement
- Playful, versatile and quick to learn
Desirable traits
- Blogging experience (in Chinese or English)
- Active on social media (Weibo, Dianping, Facebook, etc.)
- Familiarity/proficiency with InDesign
- Photography skills
