Food porn! Sexy new dishes at Element Fresh

Everyone has their fave dish at Element Fresh, right? I usually go for the Greek lamb wrap and share a cob salad. I know another writer who only ever orders the California Hippie Sandwich. But there's lots more to choose from of course, as Element Fresh chef and founder Scott Minoie was keen to point out at at a special tasting of their new spring summer menu last night.

From the middle of April, 20 new dishes will beef up menu (some literally), and there's even a new smoothie - Sourberry Patch - a combo of raspberries and cranberry juice.

Big news is the coming of two new Element Fresh branches this year. The first, scheduled to open in the summer, is in the IFC Mall beside the Westin Chaoyang. Then in the autumn, another store will come to the Park View Green building (that triangular one) near The Place.

From what I've tasted, I'd definitely recommend the Mediterranean plate (I love grilled artichokes) for something to pick at throughout the meal, and the Korean beef and kimchee salad was a hit too. It was all very good - the only major problem was my gazpacho soup. It was ice-cold. They'll have to fix that before April 16.

For a less than sexy Element Fresh experience, try the "white tuna" w. winter vegetable.
Guaranteed to give you scary bright orange oily diarrhea, along with nausea and stomach cramps.
Element Fresh is serving Escolar fish (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Escolar) to it's customers and calling it tuna.
After speaking to a few other people I realize I'm not the only one to have had this experience. Eat the tuna at your own risk!
