Link Star Makes a Bid for CBD Clubbers

With World City still relatively unknown, Link Star’s biggest challenge is to entice people away from Sanlitun, Gongti and Gulou.

The CBD’s nighttime taxi shortage is another issue, though one that the club’s owners are confident of resolving. (For the record, we had few troubles finding cabs on recent enjoyable visits to Link Star and nearby Club Du.)

Well-designed and comfortably upholstered, Link Star is free of the oppressive style of many local clubs. Think of it as a common-sense cousin of Gongti West Gate. You’ve still got flair bartending and an emphasis on bottle service – mixed drinks average RMB 50 – but with greater comfort. And much better house music.

Ladies drink free on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and happy hour is 6-10pm daily.
