North Korea Gets Hip to Twitter

Important news for all you Twitter fans, as well as DPRK watchers. According to The Next Web, a site about net news and social media, North Korea now has its own Twitter account.

Alex Willhelm writes: “In an exercise of odd futility, sad content, and a blanket of depressing comedy, you can now follow party-line propaganda straight from the DPRK in bite sized format!”

Being good harmonious residents of the PRC, we’re not able to access Twitter from the Beijinger office, but Willhelm says the North Korean account is a little weak when it comes to content. He writes, “Every tweet except one is a blurb and a link to a page filled with odd commentary on the past victories of North Korea…”

So now we know the real reason we’re not allowed to see Twitter – we might be swayed by all that good news coming over the border.

This is the DPRK account for those able to look at such things: http://twitter.com/uriminzok

You can easily get into twitter...just use Vtunnel.com

I think you're missing the 'sarcasm' a bit mate.

TBJ links to it's own Twitter account on the left side of the page...
