Weekend Live Music Roundup: InMusic, Ourself Beside Me, and more

The more adventurous among you will be heading out to the Zhangbei Grasslands in Hebei Province this weekend for the InMusic Festival. The line up includes Panic! At the Disco, Killing Joke and CocoRosie, an incredible line up that reminds me of the Beijing Pop Festival a few years ago. With all the star local bands in support, InMusic Festival is defiantly worth checking out – it's just the transportation and accommodation might be a bit complicated.

Trains to the festival (or Zhangjiakou nearby) go from Beijing West and Beijing railway stations, or there are buses from Deshengmen Bus Station. See here for a full transport schedule (unfortunately in Chinese only). Full festival schedule available here.

Closer to home, Yang Fan, one of the founding members Hang on the Box back in the day, is now the front woman of Ourself Beside Me, and definitely one of the most unique guitarists in China. Check them out at Yugong Yishan tonight.
