(Xinzhongjie Location) New but has potential!

Everyone is comparing it to The Hidden Tree/The Tree/Nearby The Tree/First Floor.... This is because all those places have people in common. The guys who once worked the bar at The (various) Tree locations are now in charge at Red House.

I haven't been to the Wudaokou location but the Xinfu one is looking promising. Yeah, its simple right now but the framework is there, they need to add some personality and some decent music but once this place gets popular, I predict it will be overflowing with cheer.

The guys who run it are decent, matter-of-fact fellas who deliver your first beer with a very understated "song ni" meaning they want to give you a free beer to start your night. The pizzas start at 50kuai and go to 65 or 70. they are Tree-esque and very generous with cheese and toppings all the way to the edge. No wasted crusts at our table! they seem bigger than the tree pizzas and were more than decent.

The draft beers are 5 kuai and that seems too cheap because it is too cheap. There is something distinctly wrong with the beer, most at our table said "watered down" I thought it tasted metallic. Even though they were free or 5 kuai most of us chose to buy the slightly more expensive branded beers, but with stella at 30 kuai and guiness 25-35 kuai it is still a great deal and mixed drinks start at 15.

I hope this place keeps up their philosophy of good deals and customer loyalty because it could be a great new spot to frequent now that 1st Floor is over run with twatitude.
