Great place! The hummus lives up to its reputation, the falafel (although not my favorite "style") is delicious and flavorful, and the food's freshness is evident in its taste. The service is also good -- it's obvious the management cares about the restaurant (staff and customers). This is definitely a refreshing Haidian answer to superstars like Biteapitta on the other side of the city while still maintaining a unique taste that sets it apart from anything else in Beijing. Keep up the good work!

Question: there are two "Falahfel Arabic Restaurants" almost right next door to each other in Wudakou, along that road south of the subway stop (near Helen's cafe, propaganda, etc.). Which one is the one that everyone is writing about? I went to the bigger one (the one that's farther north) on a Sunday afternoon and the food was quite mediocre. Juice tasted like it was squeezed from a moldy orange.

We were told the Jordanian chef wasn't there that afternoon, so our food was prepared by a stand-in Chinese chef, which might explain it. I so want to believe this place is good but I'd like to know which of the twin restaurants people are reviewing here (if they're even reviewing the same place).

The one I went to was the one owned by the Palestinian/Jordanian guy, Falah. Bummer to hear your meal wasn't good but maybe go back for a second try? Although I would hope the staff is capable of scouting rogue oranges on their own without manager supervision...!

Dear Marilynmai

im sorry for your orange usually our orange is fresh 100 %
Our chef went back to Jordan for visa problem, but he will come back soon.
I will advise the chinese chef to take more care of the juices.
let me know next time you'll come, I'll be sure you'll be served with fresh orange juice free to forgive us for the mistake.

best regards
Falah
